Part 2: Unmasking the PGC Suppression and the Broader Implications

I’ve been following the actions of top officials at Punjab Group of Colleges (PGC) and have persistently commented on their social media posts to raise awareness about the ongoing incident, but every time my voice is stifled. They delete my comments and block me, attempting to silence any effort to bring attention to the truth. By doing this, they are actively suppressing all attempts to shed light on the real issue, choosing instead to portray it as mere propaganda to protect their reputation. Notably, Bilal Afzal, the Group Director, deleted my comments and then blocked me, making it impossible for me to engage any further.

For many, it is easy to dismiss such an issue as baseless rumor or propaganda, but what happens when it directly impacts their own family? If no incident ever took place, why has there been no release of security footage? Why did the authorities arrest the security guard a full 10 hours after the alleged incident? Why that security ran away to Sialkot (Sargodha in news)? Why the security gaurd was hiding? And why did it take 4 whole days for the college and police to determine whether a female student was involved or not?

If PGC truly believes there was no victim, the solution should have been simple—check the list of 1st-year ICS female students and verify their safety by immediately contacting their guardians. This could have been done swiftly, within an hour, yet it took several days for the administration to clarify the situation. Now they conveniently claim it’s all propaganda. But even more telling, classmates of the alleged victim who initially shared confession videos have since been pressured into deleting them. Students know the truth—they know who the victim is, and they are aware of who is orchestrating the cover-up. Though the case may soon be swept under the rug, Allah’s justice will prevail. Those responsible cannot escape the consequences, and they will face them in due time, InshaAllah.

The public posts made by PGC’s top officials, asking students to come forward with information, are merely tactics to control the narrative and intimidate students further. If PGC were truly concerned, they could offer a significant incentive, such as a 100% scholarship for any student who provides evidence. They could also encourage anonymous submissions via social media to protect the identities of those willing to speak up. However, their actions suggest they are more concerned with preserving their image than seeking the truth.

They continue to assert that this is a propaganda campaign aimed at tarnishing PGC’s reputation. But what is this reputation they are so desperately trying to save? PGC has earned notoriety on platforms like TikTok, where students often present a questionable culture. This might have been overlooked before, but the recent incident of a student’s rape crosses every moral boundary.

As a committee led by Maryam Nawaz prepares to issue a report dismissing the incident as opposition propaganda, it’s clear to anyone paying attention that these claims are politically motivated. Maryam’s statements have a long history of contradicting the truth, and her upcoming speech will likely serve as further proof of how wealth and influence can manipulate justice. The PGC Mafia appears to have deep pockets, and it is almost certain that the Chief Minister will benefit from protecting their interests.

The situation at PGC is a microcosm of the larger issues plaguing our society—where institutions prioritize their reputations and power over the safety and well-being of individuals. We must not allow the truth to be buried by those in positions of influence. It is time to hold those responsible accountable, and for justice to be served.
