Pakistan's Political Turmoil: A Struggle for Power and the Nation's Future

In Pakistan, since 1947, there has been an ongoing fight for power. Every political party aims to form a government to gain maximum power. In this pursuit of power, political leaders have completely neglected the welfare of the nation.

In August 2018, the nation gave their mandate in favor of Imran Khan (Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party). Imran Khan exposed the corruption of former government officials and the damage they caused to the country due to their incapabilities and disloyalty.

After being rejected by the nation, the PMLN, PPP, and JUIF joined hands and formed the PDM. The Pakistan Democratic Movement, founded in September 2020, aimed to oppose Imran Khan's government. They accused Imran Khan of various allegations, corrupted the system, and attempted to remove him from power using money. They appointed influenced government officials and forced them to further corrupt the system. Imran Khan was falsely imprisoned, and the judiciary was corrupted to deliver biased decisions against him. They used every method to undermine PTI, imprison its members, and torture their families using corrupt forces.

On February 8th, 2024, General Elections were held. The PDM made every effort to hinder PTI from getting votes. PTI's election symbol, the Cricket Bat, was confiscated before the elections to obscure PTI candidates. Awkward symbols were given to PTI members to deter voters. Despite this, Imran Khan's popularity led to a significant number of votes cast in PTI's favor. The nation rejected the corrupt PDM parties and gave their mandate to Imran Khan.

PMLN and PPP then resorted to forging election results. They manipulated Form-45 and Form-47 to fabricate favorable outcomes. Due to their incompetence, their forgery was evident to the public. They forcefully formed a government based on stolen mandates, using corrupt judiciary and influenced forces to suppress dissenting voices.

PMLN and PPP are the major ruling parties of Pakistan. They have caused significant damage to the economy by initiating infeasible projects and embezzling public funds. These politicians own multiple properties abroad and prioritize personal businesses over the country's interests. Their relief projects often lead to chaos among the poor.

PMLN focuses on infrastructure projects instead of empowering manufacturing industries to generate revenue streams. They rely on foreign aids and loans, increasing the country's debt and inflation rates, ultimately harming businesses and increasing crime rates.

The public refuses to support PMLN's government, leading to a decline in tax compliance. FBR misses target for second consecutive month and now has to collect Rs3,586 billion in taxes in March-June. The government taking decision to impose income tax on lower salary slabs will decrease daily wages and worsen the earning conditions for people, potentially leading to public unrest. The failure to meet tax collection targets for consecutive months indicates a lack of effective strategies to tackle tax evasion.

Unfortunately, the nation is poised to face even tougher times under these corrupt governments in the days to come.
